“We remain open to cooperate with any country, including Western states, although under the present conditions, when the West behaved in this way (alluding to sanctions against Moscow), we will not take any initiative,” the minister said at the forum. youth “Leaders of Russia”.

Lavrov, quoted by the Interfax agency, added that today “many countries are beginning to scratch their heads and think how to slowly move away from the dollar” in international transactions, because what happened to one today, tomorrow can happen to someone else, the minister said.

The Russian foreign minister accused Washington of instructing its ambassadors in each country to press for the cessation of cooperation with Russia.

“And that’s fine when you’re doing that kind of work in small countries, but when you’re going with these ultimatums and demands to China, India, Egypt, Turkey, probably, it’s a loss of sense of reality on the part of our American colleagues. ”.

Lavrov assured that Russia and China will continue to strengthen the cooperation “of two great powers.”

“Under conditions, when the West grossly undermines the foundations of the international system, as two great powers, we have to think about our next steps,” he said.

“I think, of course, that (Russian-Chinese) cooperation will take hold,” he added.
