Hernandeza 77-year-old millionaire construction entrepreneur, has carried out a campaign based on word of mouth, and its message focused exclusively on combating corruption He has permeated the electorate to the point that the latest polls placed him in third place in voting intentions, behind the leftist Gustavo Petro and the rightist Federico “Fico” Gutiérrez.

In the event that none of the candidates obtains half plus one of the ballots today, the two most voted will have to go to a second round on June 19.

With his folksy style, Hernández, when asked after voting about where he will be at four in the afternoon, when the polls close, replied: “in heaven.”

And when asked what he will do while the voting is taking place, he replied that he would go home “to sleep.”

“My wife votes in the afternoon, so I go to pick her up and we go home to sleep,” manifested.

That irreverent style of the “engineer”, as he is also known, also leaves doubts about the seriousness of his government program in case he wins the Presidency, since his speech revolves around the need to end corruption, and little else.
