Two people were killed and four more were injured during a shooting at a nightclub in Indiana in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
Officers responding to reports of shots fired around 2 a.m. in Gary, southeast of Chicago, said they found two people shot. A 34-year-old man who was near the entrance to Playo’s NightClub and a 26-year-old woman who was inside, police said. They were pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.

Four other people were injured, including one in critical condition, police added.
Authorities did not release the names of the victims or information about the cause of the shooting.
They said multiple law enforcement agencies responded due to the size of the crowd requiring evacuation and the sheer number of casualties.
