Man dies when his pants are grabbed at the door of the New York subway and being dragged

A man died in New York after his pants got caught on the doors of a city subway car and the train dragged him across the platform, local media reported today, citing the police.

According to the official version, the victim’s pants got caught in one of the doors of the car in which he was traveling last midnight, when he left a subway station Q line in the New York borough of Brooklyn.

The man was dragged off the platform and subsequently fell onto the tracks just as another train entered the station.reported the Daily News newspaper.

The driver of the second subway managed to stop the train before hitting the victim, who would later die.

The newspaper adds that it is not clear if the man’s foot was also trapped between the doors.

The Police have not revealed the identity of the deceased and limited themselves to ensuring that he was in his thirties.
