India: ballistic missile was successfully fired from a submarine

India successfully shot on Friday a ballistic missile from a domestically manufactured nuclear-powered submarine, the Defense Ministry said.

With this test, India joins a group of five countries in the world (United States, Russia, China, France and United Kingdom) with nuclear attack and counterattack capability on land, sea and air.

The launch also puts highlights India’s efforts to build your own military equipment.

India has waged wars and has old border disputes with its nuclear-capable neighbors, China and his archrival Pakistan.

The Prime Minister’s Government Narendra Modi recently unveiled the first batch of Indian-made attack helicopters, designed for use in high-altitude areas like the Himalayas, where its troops clashed with those of China in 2020.
