Although some media reported that the missile fell near Ulleung, located about 150 kilometers from the eastern coastal city of Donghae, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) explained that they still cannot confirm this fact.
This launch, North Korea’s 36th this year and a record number, coincides with the celebration of the first large-scale aerial maneuvers by the South and US Air Forces.
