Engoron’s order prohibits defendants from transferring assets without court approval and requires the supervisor to receive a “complete and accurate description” of the structure and assets of the Trump Organization.

In September, James named Trump, three of his adult children, the Trump Organization and others as defendants in a civil suit for a $250 million fraud for allegedly overvaluing Trump’s assets and net worth over a decade with lies to banks and insurers.

In a notice of appeal filed Monday, Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, and attorneys for her children, Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr., said the defendants asked the Appellate Division, a state court in mid-level appeals, to review Engoron’s order, without stating its legal arguments.

Engoron gave both sides until Nov. 10 to recommend three candidates to become supervisors.

The case is one of many legal battles facing Trump as he considers a new run for president in 2024.
