Franco-Spanish engineer loses a testicle after being beaten by police in Paris

A 26-year-old Franco-Spanish engineer, who was taking photos during a demonstration in Paris On Thursday against the pension reform, he lost a testicle after being hit by a police officer with a baton, his lawyer said on Sunday, stating that he is going to sue.

The man was lying on the ground after being knocked down by another agent, according to his testimony.

The young man’s lawyer said he filed a complaint for intentional violence.

“It is a criminal offense, it is not about legitimate defense or necessity, I want as proof the images we have and the fact that he was not arrested afterwards”, specified the lawyer lucie simon.

“It was such a strong blow that they had to amputate a testicle. A violent and gratuitous act that borders on sadism”, added the engineer’s lawyer, who is still hospitalized.

The incident occurred amid clashes between protesters and security forces, during which projectiles were thrown and tear gas was used.

The police prefecture asked that “the exact circumstances of the reported incident are clarified”, specifying that the events occurred “in a context of extreme violence in the framework of a police maneuver to arrest violent individuals”.

The engineer, who lives on the island of Guadalupe, a territory in the Caribbean, “still in shock, won’t stop asking why” was injured.
