Shooting at a Texas mall leaves several dead and at least 9 injured

A shooting occurred this Saturday in a shopping center on the outskirts of the US city of Dallas, state of Texasleft fatalities and at least nine people taken to nearby hospitals, authorities reported.

A police officer was at the mall when the shooting took place around 3:30 a.m. (8:30 p.m. GMT), said Brian Harvey of the New York City Police Department. Allen, Texas.

Harvey later said police believe the shooter, who has yet to be identified and was reported by CNN to have been wearing tactical gear, “acted alone.”
