The Fourth Division of the Army pointed out on Twitter that soldiers from a Unified Action Group for Personal Liberty (Gaula) rescued “to the 3 officials of Humanity & Inclusion that advance humanitarian demining intervention in the south” of the Goal.

“Already the three people who were reported as kidnapped in the morning hours in the municipality of plateausThey are with our Army. This is good news”said, for his part, the governor of the GoalJuan Guillermo Zuluaga.

It was precisely this official who reported the kidnapping of these people and pointed out that, apparently, the perpetrators were members of the Segunda Marquetalia, a dissidence of the former FARC led by the former chief guerrilla peace negotiator, alias “ivan marquez”.

After the signing of the peace agreement in 2016 between the Colombian government and the guerrillas of the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC), a group of combatants, commanded by marquez and the deceasedJesus Santrich”, they took up their arms and constituted the call “Second Marquetalia”.

It is one of the two large groups of FARC dissidents, together with the Central Staff (EMC), led by alias “ivan bite”, who never signed the peace agreement.

These two groups had a bilateral ceasefire signed with the Government since the beginning of the year, with whom they are trying to negotiate within the framework of “total peace”, but last month President Gustavo Petro decided to break this ceasefire with the EMC for the murder of four minors in the south of the country.

On the other hand, the wife of a soldier and a public service driver were kidnapped on Tuesday by the guerrillas of the National Liberation Army (ELN) on a highway that connects the towns of Arauquita and Saravenain the troubled department of Arauca (on the border with Venezuela).
