Mexico rescues a Honduran woman and her baby who were trying to cross the Rio Grande to the US.

Mexican authorities reported Monday that they rescued a woman honduran and her 4-month-old son Sunday midnight in the middle of the Rio Grandeon the northern border of Mexicoafter being trapped on an islet while trying to cross to USA.

After that, the agents transferred the young woman and the baby to the mainland, where they were later taken in an ambulance to the health services so that a paramedic could assess their state of health due to the risk of suffering hypothermia, “since they were both wet and wearing very light clothing”.

Upon verifying that they were in good health, INM personnel transferred them to a shelter in the city to provide them with assistance, shelter, and hot food.

The events occur in the midst of a rebound in the migratory flow due to Mexico after the initial fall that caused the expiration last May of the Title 42 of USAas recognized last week by the Mexican president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
