Morocco accepts aid from four countries, but not from France

Morocco announced on Sunday that it had accepted aid from only four countries: Spain, Britain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Morocco’s interior ministry said in a statement that Rabat had “at this stage” responded positively to offers from four countries to “send search and rescue teams”: Spain, Britain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Several other states, notably France, have said they are willing to provide assistance but have not been asked to do so.
