Milei government will announce “severe sanctions” on those who organize and finance street blockades in Argentina

The government of Argentina will impose “severe sanctions” on those who participate, promote or finance “the blocking of traffic routes”, announced this Thursday the Presidency spokesman, Manuel Adorni.

In a brief appearance before the media, outside of his usual morning press conference, the presidential spokesperson informed that the Minister of Security, Patrícia Bullrichwill announce during this day the so-called “Protocol for the maintenance of public order in the event of road closures”.

According to Adorni, The new security measures will be taken “on the instructions of the President of the Nation”position taken last Sunday by the ultra-rightist Javier Milei.

The presidential spokesperson did not provide further details about the new protocolwhich will be developed at 4:45 pm local time (7:45 pm GMT) this Thursday by the minister Bullrich.

The first mobilizations against the Milei Government and its first economic adjustment measures announced last Tuesday by the new Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, were not long in coming.
