Biden’s First 2024 Campaign Ad Focuses on “Extremist” Threat to Democracy

The president’s campaign team Joe Biden revealed on Thursday its first television advertisement for the 2024 electionswhich warns of the threat “extremist”to democracy with images of the invasion of Congress by a mob recorded on January 6, 2021.

The piece, titled “Cause”, will be broadcast for the first time on Saturday, on the third anniversary of the historic assault on the Capitol by hundreds of followers of the then president donald trump (2017-2021), which left five dead, including a police officer.

Also included are photographs of white supremacists with torches at a political rally in Charlottesville in 2017.
