The king “remains completely positive about his treatment and hopes to return to his public duties as soon as possible,” Buckingham adds. “Her Majesty has decided to share her diagnosis to avoid speculation and in the hope that it will help the public understand everyone affected by cancer around the world,” the statement said.

According to the BBC, the tumor was discovered during his hospitalization more than a week ago at a private hospital in London. “We wish Her Majesty a speedy and complete recovery. I have no doubt that he will be back at full strength soon and I know the whole country will wish him well,” British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak responded on Platform X.
