Brazil: judge orders Transparency International investigation into Lava Jato case

A judge of the Supreme Court of Brazil ordered this Monday the opening of an investigation into the role of International Transparency in the supposed “misappropriation of public resources“, within the scope of the anti-corruption operation Car washaccusation that the NGO denied.

The magistrate of Federal Court of Justice (STF) requested “investigate the possible misappropriation of public resources by Transparency International”, as part of an agreement between the NGO and the anti-corruption operation Car wash.

The new court decision came after a complaint from the deputy Rui Falcao of Workers’ Party (PT) of the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
