The president of Ecuador accepts a complex and unprecedented situation due to the crisis with Mexico

The president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboaaccepted this Monday the existence of a “complex and unprecedented situation”after the police operation ordered by your Government at the Embassy of Mexico in Quito last Friday, to arrest the former vice president Jorge Glasaccused of corruption and who was in that legation with political asylum.

The diplomatic crisis erupted on Friday night when, in an unusual event condemned by a large part of the international community, the Ecuadorian Police invaded the Mexican Embassy in Quito to secure Jorge Glasformer vice president of Rafael Corrêa (2013-2018) prosecuted for corruption and requested political asylum in Mexico.
