Three people were arrested and two were seriously injured during the violent events recorded this Thursday in Buenos Aires when protesters from a left-wing social movement forcibly entered the building of the Ministry of Social Development of Argentina, official sources confirmed to Efe.

According to the sources consulted, the riots were led by a group of members of the Movement Teresa Rodríguez (MTR) Histórico group, who were demonstrating at the gates of the Ministry of Social Development, in the center of the Argentine capital.

After tearing down the bars of the ministerial headquarters and entering the building by force, the protesters “They broke windows and beat two Ministry workers, who have serious injuries”, Government sources indicated.

The incidents forced the police to act, who arrested three people, who were left at the disposal of federal judge Sebastián Casanello.

The Historical MTR demanded a response from the ministerial headquarters to their requests for social aid and food.

According to official sources consulted by Efe, representatives of the Ministry of Social Development had met last week with members of that social organization and “had agreed on different lines of work, which included the financing of tools and supplies to produce.”
