The dollar stood at 4.59 digital bolivars today in the informal market in Venezuela, according to data from the DolarToday portal.

Military captured 35 “terrorists” in Venezuela last weekend, in a region bordering Colombia, Attorney General Tarek William Saab said Thursday.

“A total of 35 members of these irregular groups were arrested in four procedures in the state of Apure” (west, bordering Colombia), Saab reported in a statement broadcast on state television.

They were charged with terrorism, criminal association, arms trafficking and smuggling, among other crimes, the official said.

Since the end of last year, the government of socialist President Nicolás Maduro has used the term TANCOL -Armed Terrorists Drug Traffickers of Colombia- to refer to irregular groups that operate along the 2,219 km of the Venezuelan-Colombian border, mined by violence and smuggling. .

Bogotá, the Venezuelan opposition and human rights organizations denounce the presence in the area of ​​dissidents from the dissolved FARC guerrilla (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) and members of the ELN (National Liberation Army), with the complicity of Venezuelan authorities, what Caracas denies.
