Wall Street closes in green and the Dow Jones rises 0.22%

Wall Street closed this Friday in green and its main indicator, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, rose 0.22% in a day with few changes.

At the end of operations on the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones rose to 34.77 points while the selective S&P 500 increased 0.14%, up to 4,457 points.

The Nasdaq composite market index, which groups together technology companies, grew a slight 0.09%, up to 13,762 units, after two days of losses.

High oil prices following announced production cuts in Saudi Arabia and Russia are fueling fears of a new rise in inflation, which in turn may lead to further interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve, according to analyzes this Friday the Marketwach portal.

By sectors, the green numbers dominated, but in very low percentages, with only energy (0.97%) and public services (0.92%) standing out, while among those that lost, it is worth mentioning real estate (-0. 63%).

Among the 30 companies in the Dow Jones, Apple recovers (0.35%) after its two days of falls when the restrictions on its phones in China became known, and the increases in Amgen (1.98%), Microsoft (1 .32%) and Walt Disney (1.25%).

Among those registering losses are Boeing (-2.21%) and Verizon (-1.06%).

In other markets, Texas oil rose to $87.51 per barrel, and at the close of trading the 10-year bond fell to 4.26%, gold remained unchanged ($1,943 per ounce) and the dollar lost ground against the euro, with a change of 1.07.
