Bruno Ascenzo will direct Tony Dalton, Manolo Cardona, Angie Cepeda and Stephanie Cayo in a film for Vix+

The Mexican streaming platform Vix+, which belongs to TelevisaUnivision, has a new project in its plans that is already in its first week of filming. “Tell me what you want” is the name of his new romantic comedy that will feature the Peruvian Bruno Ascenzo in the direction of an international cast.

The Colombians Angie Cepeda (“Pantaleón y las visitadoras”) and Manolo Cardona (“Contracorriente”), the Mexican Tony Dalton (“Better Call Saul”) and the Peruvian actress Stephanie Cayo (“Until we meet again”) have been billed as the leads of the film.

Bruno Ascenzo shared photos of the shoot on his Instagram account. In one of the images, chairs from the filming set appear. One is named after the Colombian, Angie Cepeda; the other, by actor Tony Dalton, recognized for his portrayal of Lalo Salamanca in “Better Call Saul.” In addition, Ascenzo shared the image of a garden, where a mounting light appears. “Day 7″, he said in the post.

According to Vix+’s senior vice president of acquisitions and programming, Augusto Rovegno, the brand is working with Colombian production house 11:11 Films & TV to bring the project to life. The executive assured “Variety” that “Tell me what you want” is “a new version of a moving, avant-garde and hilarious film.”

“Collaborating with the 11:11 team and its talented cast was an incredible process, and we look forward to sharing this film with the world and doing more fantastic projects together,” Rovegno told the aforementioned publication.

Some of the films produced by 11:11 Films & TV are the series “El cartel de los sapos” and the film awarded by the Morelia Film Festival, “Bestos”, both starring Manolo Cardona. The actor owns the Colombian production company together with his brothers, the director and producer Juancho, and the producer and international relations executive Francisco.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The film will be produced by the brothers Juancho and Manolo Cardona, and Stephanie Cayo. It is an adaptation of the Argentine film “Dos + dos” (2012), a famous story that also has a Mexican version and a Peruvian play.

Swingers and lovers, “Tell me what you want” narrates the life of husband and wife Diego (Tony Dalton) and Emilia (Angie Cepeda). They are a couple who, after 16 years of monotony, don’t know how to rekindle the passion in bed, so they opt for a strategy that hardly fits their conservative beliefs: sharing themselves with others.

At this point, their friends Betina (Stephanie Cayo) and Tomás (Manolo Cardona) appear on the scene, a couple with better sexual chemistry, who introduce Diego and Emilia to the world of swingers or forbidden relationships.
