Reynaldo Arenas will star in “Comunicando Perú”, a play directed by Carlos Rubín

Reynaldo Arenas, the first Peruvian actor, will star in the experiential family play “Comunicando Perú”, which was written and directed by Carlos Rubín. The staging takes place in the new Kronopios Teatro, located at 713 José Olaya Avenue, Chorrillos, two parallels from El Hornero on the boardwalk. Chorrillos.

The story of this theatrical piece rescues mythological characters from our country that are forgotten, such as the Chullachaqui, the Shaman, the Ekeko, the Scissor Dancer or the Condor, and seeks to inspire the Peruvian public to assume their roots and feel the national identity from the heart.

Likewise, it presents Arawiq, a Cusco boy, who decides to leave the Sacred Valley after the constant fights in his town over water and land. After that, he learns about other customs and observes how the other communities live organized.

“The process of carrying out the work is very satisfactory. Reynaldo, in addition to playing Arawiq’s father, does all the live music, and provides the voice for the mythological characters and manipulates them in puppets. “It is a children’s family proposal so that children with their parents learn to love their roots and take care of the country that is so beautiful and rich in every way,” says Rubín, who also acts alongside Arenas and actress Titi Plaza.

“Comunicando Perú” is taking place on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:00 pm, from October 8 to November 26, 2023, at the new Kronopios Teatro, located at 713 José Olaya Avenue, Chorrillos, two parallels from El Hornero of the Chorrillos boardwalk.

Saturday tickets are on sale at popular prices through Teleticket and Joinnus. As for Sundays, there is free entry for State schools and for the vulnerable and at-risk population of Chorrillos.
