“Margot for life”: they want to build a house for sick children without a diagnosis

“Margot still has no diagnosis, she is like a sick child experiencing an unknown illness. » Bruno Thiroux, the stepfather of a 14-year-old girl who is currently in the care of the Institute Medico-Pedagogue (IME) in Chalons-en-Champagne, has been fighting for many years with his wife Emmanuelle to help him live, even survive. Since 2018, they have created Margot pour la Vie to raise funds to help other families waiting, like them, for a medical diagnosis.

The association currently has over 200 members and supports dozens of parents in France. “We provide financial support to some children suffering from rare diseases. But we have to make a choice because we don’t have the means to help everyone,” says Bruno Thiru. Therefore, the couple plans to create a center for children without a diagnosis in Grand Est. This will be the first in France, because this type of establishment does not exist.

“We want to open a structure that combines the IME and a children’s rehabilitation center. In Margot’s case this would be very appropriate as her health is physically deteriorating. But this project is ambitious, with an investment of almost 5 million euros. » To achieve this goal and move positions, Emmanuel and Bruno Thiroux are counting on patronage as well as flagship actions.

The next one will take place on Friday, December 1st, at the Reims Circus. There will be an auction of street art. “We need visibility and we wanted to create a real show around this auction with the participation of sports journalist Alexandre Delperrier and our godmother, singer Gustine from Reims. »

Gustin (ex-The Voice) on stage

The former 2020 Voice finalist will perform on the Circus stage at the conclusion of the auction. An event that could bring the association more than 20,000 euros. Céz’Art, Iemza, Ksy Boomkies, Christine Sejean, Mat x Zekky, Florence Kutten and many other artists have agreed to offer one or more works to raise funds for the Margot pour la Vie association.

Next month, Domaine les Crayères star chef Philippe Mille will also mobilize help for sick children. He is going to make soup to benefit the Margot for Life association. It will be sold on Saturday, December 9, in his presence at the Halles Boulingrin in Reims. Last year, this campaign raised more than 3,000 euros.
