Where to eat oysters in Santa Anita?

With a variety of oysters, Villa Madrid welcomes its diners, who are getting used to this new stew. Antonio Galarza, owner of the place, took on the challenge of incorporating them into his menu, even knowing that they were not very popular in the area, but now they have become one of the most requested dishes.

The idea of offering oysters was born from his experience cooking abroad. “When I decided to prepare oysters in Peru, I always thought it was important that it best suit the diner’s palate, so I did some tests to blend the flavors,” says Antonio, who has added five options to his menu.

The first ones that he incorporated were the Ostras a la Chalaca made with the traditional minced onion, tomato and corn. Then the Tiger Oysters with tiger milk juice, the acebichadas served with pieces of fish, all these are cold options. There are also the traditional ones such as Oysters with lemon.

Villa Madrid offers a variety of oysters.

As for the hot ones, there are also a variety of options such as Parmesan Oysters made with a béchamel sauce base, to which Parmesan cheese is then added and then gratin. Grilled Oysters are also a quite innovative option because they are actually grilled and the most characteristic thing is that smoky flavor and the touch of chimichurri.

This variety of options has surprised the diners of Santa Anita and even the well-known Spanish youtuber Kevin GG, the challenge has been great, but Antonio considers that the others have adapted very well to the palates of his visitors, who also recommend them . The price of oysters is between 20 soles and 30 soles.

The other dishes of Villa Madrid

In addition to the oysters, which are already becoming popular in the area, they also offer Villa Madrid rice, a dish that blends Spanish and Peruvian cuisine. This traditional restaurant rice is very similar to arroz a la marinera, it is made up of octopus, scallops, clams, prawns and squid. The rice with which they work is the northern one, to give it that Peruvian touch, then the sofrito is made, with butter, leeks, onion, tomato, paprika, yellow chili paste, panca chili, mirasol chili and a seafood stock.

On the other hand, they have the Mar y Tierra grill, which has flambéed prawns, churrasco, octopus and calamari served on a bottom of French fries, a highly requested dish in the place. And what cannot be missing in a seafood restaurant are the cebiches. The gastronomic proposal is accompanied by a series of signature cocktails and wines.
