“Intertwined 2” on Disney +: the series that brings more time travel and a bit of magic | INTERVIEW

The entertainment giant once again bets on its productions full of magic and musicals. This Wednesday, May 24, Disney Plus premiered the second season of “Entrelazados”, the Argentine series that became a success after its first installment and which also returns with the star appearance of Elena Roger (“Floricienta”) and Clara Alonso (“Violetta”) ). While, for the quota of rising talents, we once again have Carolina Domenech and José Giménez Zapiola, even the youtuber Kevsho. For the new chapters, the public will once again be able to enjoy the -already well-known- time travel.

After Allegra (Domenech) traveled to the past and met Marco (José Giménez Zapiola “El Purre”) in the first season of “Entrelazados”, a very strong friendship began to be forged. However, for the second part, the roles are exchanged and it is the young man who reaches the future. This situation caused a kind of déjà-vú to Carolina, who was very excited about her launch and assured that her exchange of roles with her co-star allowed her character to grow.

“Allegra evolved with Carolina, we are both much more mature and I really liked that I can tell about a more sensitive, more real Allegra, more stopped in her present since she is not traveling in time. Now she can, perhaps, be a little more settled and I think we are going to find an Allegra much more faithful to herself and much more determined about the things she wants ”, commented Domenech during a round table with other Latin American media where he was present Skip Intro of El Comercio.

Elena Roger and Clara Alonso, who give life to Cocó and Caterina, mother and daughter, respectively, were also present in the conversation. The latter is also Allegra’s mother. Faced with the challenge of re-immersing themselves in the world of “Intertwined”, both were happy for the opportunity and agreed that there was an evolution in their characters.

Unlike the first season, Clara Alonso says that her character now feels less alone and more accompanied by her family. She healed that relationship that seemed broken with her daughter Allegra and she allowed herself to enjoy what she really likes to do in her life. “Caterina was very angry and very hurt. But in this new season, she is more relieved and can explore her artistic side, open up to love and continue to develop and get to know this bond with her mother and her daughter.”.

While Elena Roger had the mission that Cocó try to show herself more human, both with her family and with the rest of the world; and, never leave aside the music that, in itself, is the fundamental part of this beloved character from “Entrelazados”. “Cocó is developing a new relationship with her daughter and granddaughter. She is worried about things going well and about helping her granddaughter in her career. She is focused on that and it is seen that the relationship between them has healed. In this season you end up getting to know how Cocó really is with all this theater, her past and everything she is really capable of doing ”.

In the second season of “Intertwined”, “we are going to find an Allegra much more faithful to herself and much more determined about the things she wants.”

The new Disney series is full of magic, but an essential ingredient for this second season is music. In the new episodes available since last May 24, the characters of “Entrelazados” will immerse themselves in the preparation of a great musical, an activity that was widely accepted (and fascinated) by the protagonists.

Elena Roger has been related to theater and music throughout her life, so taking on the challenge was not difficult at all; on the contrary, she was able to relate her artistic preparation of so many years and bring it to streaming. “I really enjoyed being in a slightly longer musical, I’m a musical actress in my real life and I play (in ‘Intertwined’) a person who is a is a is a big musical comedy star. I really enjoyed filming the final number where the three of us are together with the boys.”

Meanwhile, for Clara Alonso it is not something new either. Her training and her time on Disney’s “Violetta” –along with Tini Stoessel and Jorge Blanco- gave her experience with musicals. Although, as he revealed to us, the shooting was “complicated” because the scene of the musical was recorded in an abandoned place that was not closed during the winter in Buenos Aires. “It was cold everywhere. But the face of enjoyment that we all had and the emotion of doing that, even if it was cold and late, we will not forget it. In addition, to be sharing with Elena, who for both Caro and me, is a reference, a person we admire. It was unforgettable”.

Following the same line of emotion for remembering those days of filming, Carolina Domenech assured that the season finale is always the peak moment; but, for her, the reunion with José Giménez in the first chapter is the best memory she will take from the second season. “That reunion between Marco and Allegra was something of a challenge and it was something that I really enjoyed. We had already done that reunion several times in rehearsals before recording and we ended up crying at all rehearsals. And being there, at that moment, was something super nice and super exciting.”, stressed the actress with a smile on her face.

Finally, Carolina Domenech, 22, assured that getting involved in this project for television is like a dream come true, because one of the goals she had since she got involved in the artistic world was to be part of Disney. The opportunity, ironically, came during the Covid-19 pandemic, and she accepted because she knew that her work could go abroad.

“I always dreamed of being a part of Disney. I wanted to enjoy and take advantage of every second on set and experience what I was experiencing. I think we all know that we are part of a project that is premiering worldwide, we know the importance of this project and what it generates in people. It was an honor that Disney trusted us to do a second season and continue telling this story.”he added.

Meanwhile, Elena Roger confessed that she had reconnected with the world of Disney thanks to her two children and, when the opportunity came to give life to Cocó in “Entrelazados”, she decided to accept it because it would be like a gift. “When I was a kid, I watched Disney stuff, and then I left that world. I told the girls that it had been like a request to the universe from me. I said ‘hopefully I can be in a series that my daughter likes a lot so that she sees her mother, her actress and that she lives all that artistic world that she likes so much, but through her mother.’ The universe brought me to that audition and I was in this project for Disney Plus. I am very grateful and it is very magical to see what happens to my children when they see it. It’s lovely”, he finished.
