River Plate fell at home to Boca Juniors (1-0) last Sunday, in a new edition of the Argentine Superclásico. The match had a great color in the stands of the Monumental Stadium, due to the massive presence of fans, but there were also problems during the minutes before the initial whistle.

In the entrance area to the Antonio Vespucio Liberti venue in Buenos Aires, a group of members tried to gain access without having a ticket, which caused chaos. As indicated by the “Millionaire” authorities, these people sought to attend the game only with their unique card, without having the season ticket or having bought a ticket.

By not complying with the previously stipulated rule, River Plate decided to impose sanctions on the negative protagonists. According to the statement expressed by the club, a total of 1,048 fans who committed the offense will be suspended for six months and will be prohibited from entering the stadium during that time.

The identification of the partners who tried to sneak in was made easy thanks to the information collected at the access turnstiles. In these areas, entry was denied to fans with a single card, but the visit was still recorded in a database.

Thanks to these references, River Plate determined the total number of offenders: 462 full active members, 84 simple active members, 81 full minors, 6 simple minors, 7 international members and 408 members of the Somos River community.

Due to the punishment imposed by the leadership of the ‘Millionaire’, the people involved in this fact will not be able to exercise their usual rights, although they will maintain the obligation to pay the monthly fee to stay in regularity and receive authorization in the future.

On the other hand, the detected members of Somos River will not be able to acquire tickets for any event of any sport of the club, even if they take place on a date after the suspension. The institution maintains a firm position in the face of any non-compliance.
