Juan Pablo Varillas comfortably defeated Alejandro González and is in the quarterfinals of the Pereira Challenger

The ATP tennis player who ranks 119th is in the quarterfinals. Juan Pablo Varillas is competing in the Pereira ATP Challenger in Colombia and managed to reach that instance after defeating Alejandro González

The tennis player reached the quarterfinals of the Pereira Challenger after playing a forceful match against the Colombian racket. The result only had two sets: 6-1 and 6-2.

Varillas obtained a comfortable victory in Colombia, in what is the second round of the tournament. The tennis match lasted a total of one hour and seven minutes, quite short due to the effectiveness of the Peruvian player.

Juan Pablo competed in the round of 32 against Genaro Alberto Olivieri and defeated them two sets to nil. In this way, Varillas beat the Argentine who is at 277 in the ATP ranking with a result of 6-0 and 6-2.

Varillas, who was a finalist in the Santa Cruz Challenger last week, achieved a comfortable victory over González in the second round of the Pereira tournament.

Now, he will have to face Argentine Thiago Tirante for the quarterfinals. Although the match has not defined the time, the date is certain. The meeting will take place this Friday, April 1.

It should be noted that Juan Pablo Varillas managed to reach the final in the last ATP Challenger Tour Santa Cruz de la Sierra 2 in Bolivia. The Peruvian tennis player beat Cuevas 6-2, 6-4 to reach the final, but lost to Britain’s Paul Jubb 6-3, 7-6.
