WILL WE BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO THE AUDIO FROM THE VAR?

According to RPP, the audios and videos of the plays that are reviewed in the VAR will be recorded, however, they will not be public. That does not mean that soon we will not listen to the recordings, this measure is still under evaluation.

WHEN IS VAR USED?

To answer this question, we refer directly to the IFAB protocol, which stipulates that “VAR can assist the referee only in the event of a” clear, obvious and manifest error” or a “serious inadvertent incident” in relation to with: goal/no goal; criminal/non-criminal; straight red card and mistaken identity.”
