Honduras surprised with a 2-0 victory against Mexico in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League, on a Friday that saw the suspension of the duel between Jamaica and Canada due to heavy rain in Kingston.

In Tegucigalpa, Honduras won the first match of the series against the Aztecs with goals from Anthony Lozano, in the 30th minute, and Bryan Róchez, in the 71st minute.

“There is one game left, anything can happen, today we learned a lot, it was a great lesson and we have to learn from this,” said Mexican Edson Alvarez, at the end of the duel.
