Conmebol authorized the use of the Municipal Stadium of the City of El Alto in Bolivia for continental competitions, which confirms that the clash between Sporting Cristal and Always Readydue to the first leg of the previous phase of the Libertadores Cupwill be played at the aforementioned venue.
Through its Facebook account, the Bolivian club confirmed the news and is getting everything ready to receive the light blue team from Lima.
“Our Villa Ingenio Stadium is approved by Conmebol, thanks to the unattainable efforts together with the Mayor’s Office of El Alto and the support of each person who contributed with their work for this achievement,” the publication indicates.
“City of El Alto, in this Copa Libertadores let’s defend the team of our loves UNITED WE ARE STRONGER,” he adds.
This sports venue is located at 4,150 meters above sea level and Argentine journalist Pablo Giralt highlighted the news, calling it a “historic record for the competition.”

Sporting Cristal will visit Always Ready in El Alto next Tuesday, February 20 from 7:30 pm in the first leg of the second round of the Copa Libertadores.
Meanwhile, the second leg will be played on the 27th of the same month at the same time, but at the Lim National Stadium.
