Dina Boluarte on choosing Lima: “We already did it with excellence at the 2019 Pan American Games”

The president Dina Boluarte Zegarra issued a statement to the Peruvian people, after Lima was chosen again as the headquarters of the Panamerican Games that will be held in 2027.

The president highlighted the importance of the most important competition in the region taking place in our country.

“I want to express to you with absolute conviction that Peru has the Pan American jersey on. One of our fundamental commitments is to guarantee that we will compete with equal opportunities and above all with the transparency that characterizes Peruvians,” said Boluarte Zegarra.

“This is a transcendental candidacy that is part of the national sports development plan, so necessary to bridge social gaps and give thousands of Peruvians the opportunity to change their lives in a positive way,” he added.

“We have experience, we already did it with excellence during the 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games, we have a determined, committed and above all capable government, we have athletes with hope and talent, we have volunteers with vocation, we have sports facilities in the best conditions and above all We all have a Peru willing to give everything.”
