Flying cars in a closed circuit race. It looks like something out of Star Wars, but it is actually the Airspeeder championship in which two vehicles known as eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft).
The competition was held in South Australia, during its inaugural EXA Series event. This is the first eVTOL race, although the creation of the Airspeeder was already known since 2020, reported the Somos Eléctricos page.

It took two years to see these flying vehicles compete in a real environment, along a one kilometer track. However, the race was not held with a pilot on board. The vehicles were controlled remotely.
The race also involved a great preparation of the team and the pilots, who made more than 200 flights in controlled environments and also in simulators. Everything you need to know this technology well.
The vehicles work like a giant drone. Cameras were built into the vehicles and recorded every move. Finally, the pilot Zephatiali Walsh was the winner of this first competition.
