WhatsApp is implementing a new feature that allows you to select and copy the text included in the images, an option that begins to be present in the latest version of the application for iOS.
The WhatsApp version for this operating system that includes this feature is 23.5.77, already available in Apple’s official application store, the App Store.
However, some users can also access it with the installation of the previous update, 23.5.75, as WABetaInfo has been able to verify.

This portal has commented that users who wish to test this functionality, They only have to open an image that contains text, at which point the application will display a new button that will allow them to copy text from the image.
WABetaInfo has also qualified that this tool is only available in iOS 16, since WhatsApp uses the application programming interface (API) of the latest version of the operating system to detect embedded text in images.
