When will price parity between electric and combustion cars be possible?

An issue that worries both manufacturers and users about the electric cars is the price. And it is that so far the cost of one of these vehicles is much higher than a combustion carso many are looking forward to price parity.

Different dates have been established. For example, the European Union has even proposed that by 2035 combustion vehicles will no longer be sold in its space. All will be electric, in order to reduce environmental impact.

Each company also has its own goals. Like Ford, one of the great manufacturers of the 20th century, and which also entered the production of electric vehicles. However, the first months have not been good and the Ford Blue division registered losses of 3,000 million dollars, reported the Hybrid and Electric page.

The US company plans to push further this year to manufacture 210,000 units of its Mustang Mach-e electric car. But the problem lies in the cost of production. Making an electric car is much more expensive.

For this reason, CEO Jim Farley believes that the equalization of costs could not arrive until after 2030. For the main voice of Ford, this will depend on the improvement in manufacturing processes, the optimization of resources, the development of new technologies and the greater demand for the vehicle will be what marks the turning point.

Another businessman has also seen the comparison a bit distant. This is Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault Group. For the French businessman, the main problem is in the batteries and the elements that they incorporate.
