Netflix ignores the Apple Vision Pro: it will not develop a native app for visionOS

Mark Gurman, the analyst specializing in Manzanainformed that Netflix does not plan to adapt its application for visionOS, the Apple Vision Pro operating system. But this does not mean that Netflix cannot be watched with smart glasses: the iPad is proposed as a solution.

Let’s remember that the Apple Vision Pro was presented in June and its launch is planned for early 2024. Among the main uses of the glasses is watching movies, for this reason, there is already an alliance between Disney and Apple.

However, according to Gurman, Netflix will not create an official app for the Apple Vision Pro. But, even so, the iPad streaming application can be used, since the glasses allow you to run your applications.

However, this also represents a problem because the app “it will not be perfectly optimized for Apple Vision Pro”reports the newspaper Cinco Días.

“It must be taken into account that the relations between Netflix and Apple are not exactly the best. The on-demand content platform is one of the companies that has most criticized the policies of the Apple store, with its commissions for purchase or subscription, which affected the benefits of Netflix”, points out the media.

In this sense, Netflix would not have good reasons to start its application for the Apple Vision Pro software from scratch.
