Shock in Antioquia for the murder of a 23-year-old girl on New Year’s Eve

The community of the San Miguel del Tigre corregimiento, in the municipality of Yondó, Magdalena Medio Antioquia, is dismayed. Colombiaafter the murder of a young woman inside a house.

The victim, identified as Angelica Treco Gonzalez, 23, was found by inhabitants of the village of Bocas de San Juan, located more than 3 hours from the urban area, with gunshot wounds. They immediately notified the authorities.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Santiago Garavito Aranzazu, commander of the Magdalena Medio Police Department, the report was delivered on January 1 and the person responsible would be his sentimental ex-partner.

”A femicide appears to be presented by the ex-partner of whom he is the victim. We have information that is part of the investigation of the cause of this homicide,” said the commander.

He added that another person who is stable was also injured in the event. From the Antioquia Women’s Secretariat, they rejected what happened and reported that the municipal authorities are already conducting inquiries to clarify that “It would be the first alleged femicide reported in Antioquia in 2023″.
