10 years already! The eldest child of Kate Middleton and Prince William, aptly named George, turns 10 this Saturday. As usual in the British royal family, the event is marked by the publication of a new official photo of the favorite of the “British”. “The Prince and Princess of Wales are delighted to share a new photo of Prince George on his tenth birthday,” Kensington Palace said in a statement Friday night. The photo was also posted on royal social media on Saturday morning.

The photograph of Prince George smiling was taken at Windsor earlier this month by Millie Pilkington, royal photographer, already a contributor beautiful portrait of Prince William and his children last month, according to an official statement.
&é²In this photo, the heir to the crown already looks like a teenager on the way to adulthood. An exercise-hardened George smiles for the camera as he sits on the steps of Kensington Palace, where he lives with his parents, dressed in a plaid shirt and long jade green trousers.
The new photo of Prince George is reminiscent of a series of shots taken in November 2014, when the one and a half year old newborn posed on the other steps of Kensington Palace in London for portraits released before Christmas that year.
British photographer Millie Pilkington recently took several other family photos of the Prince and Princess of Wales, including portraits of Prince George’s younger siblings, Princess Charlotte, taken this year in honor of the birthday.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released official portraits for each of George’s birthdays. For example, during his year, the princely couple published a series of magnificent photographs of him taken at the Natural History Museum in London during a butterfly exhibition.
