After pleading guilty to child abandonment, Taylor could face up to six months in prison in the state process, after reaching an agreement with prosecutors who have promised not to ask for a higher sentence.

Within the framework of this pact, the Prosecutor’s Office will withdraw another accusation against her for “recklessly leaving a loaded firearm, endangering a minor”, for which she could have been sentenced to six years in prison.

The sentence against Taylor for those state charges will be read on October 27, days after the ruling against her on the federal charges she faces, on the 18th of that month.

Last June, the woman pleaded guilty to federal charges against her: lying during a background check by stating that she did not use marijuana when she bought a gun and taking that drug while in possession of it.
