Bharath it is one of the two official designations of the country, according to the Indian Constitution, and goes back to the ancient Hindu texts written in Sanskrit. The Prime Minister himself Narendra Modiusually talks about India using that word.

According to News18 television, anonymous government sources said that BJP deputies could present a special resolution in extraordinary session in Parliament this month to give prominence to the official use of “Bharath”.

The rumors about this project were enough to give rise to a host of angry reactions from Modi’s opponents, and enthusiastic messages of support from his supporters.
