The Milei Government promotes a law to declare a broad emergency by the end of 2025

The government of Javier Milei sent this Wednesday to the National Congress a bill to declare the economic emergency and in many other areas of the Argentina until the end of 2025.

The initiative involves the delegation of functions to the Executive by virtue of the declaration of “public emergency in economic, financial, fiscal, social security, security, defense, tariff, energy, health, administrative and social matters until December 31, 2025″, indicates the project.

The so-called “bases and starting points for the freedom of Argentines”declares the situation of public emergency until December 31, 2025, a period that may be extended by the Executive for another two years, that is, until the end of the mandate of the Javier Mileiwho assumed the Presidency on December 10th.

The Executive claims that this project is promoted “with the spirit of restoring the economic and social order based on the liberal doctrine embodied in the National Constitution of 1853″.

Milei, whose training Advances of Freedom has a very minority representation in Parliament, last week it had already signed a decree of necessity and urgency to deregulate the economy, including the repeal of several laws, which generated protests and is the target of complaints before the Court.

The bill presented this Wednesday includes, among other points, a reform of electoral regulations, changes to the Penal Code control street demonstrations and give the Executive powers to privatize public companies.
