Attack on Iran: Air defense, allies, waiting… how “99% of shots” on Israel were intercepted

The climate had been tense for several days, and fears were justified. Iran launched an attack from its territory into Israel on Saturday evening in response to an attack attributed to Tel Aviv on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria on April 1. According to IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari, 300 projectiles were fired during the attack, including 170 drones shot down before reaching Israeli territory. “We intercepted 99% of the shots towards Israel,” he said this Sunday.

If this “operation” “achieved all its goals,” according to the head of the Iranian armed forces, Mohammad Bagheri, Israel, for its part, claims that only a few ballistic missiles “fell on Israeli territory.” Tel Aviv acknowledged that the strike targeted Nevatim Air Base, located in the Negev Desert, in the southern half of the country, where Iran said it also reached an “Israeli intelligence center” that would “provide the necessary information” for the consulate strike.
