Gusi presents “Cuándo” his new song and video clip

The Colombian singer-songwriter is preparing to start his tour “24/7 Tour” at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá on April 22 and has already announced that two of his first guest artist friends will be Luis Enrique, Carlos Vives and gianmarco.

Gusi, the artist ambassador of Colombia and tropical music, also premiered his new single entitled “Cuándo”, a song that sings unrequited love to the rhythm of bachata. Bachata, a dance music genre originating in the Dominican Republic, has always been a favorite in Gusi’s music library.

His influences, which come from Caribbean rhythms, prove it, and although he did some bachata versions of two singles on previous albums, this is the first time he has composed a song thought from the beginning in this musical genre.

An expert in writing and interpreting songs that speak of the different faces of love, Gusi decides in “Cuándo” to give life to the story of unrequited love, and at the same time, to those relationships that are like a constant game of blinking. the door, in which permanent illusions are generated in those who are ready to conquer a heart.

“Cuándo”, composed by Gusi, Yasmil Marrufo and Jorge Luis Chacín, is a song with a happy rhythm, which inevitably makes everyone who listens to it dance, while its lyrics are a dedication to an unfinished love; a perfect paradox with which the artist demonstrates that heartbreak themes should not necessarily sound sad.

The video for “Cuándo” is an audiovisual piece in which dance is the protagonist. Recorded in the city of Bogotá by the production company Turbo, under the direction of Sergio De Avila and Jerome Lehouq, the clip pays tribute to the body in movement and body language, revealing the implicit sensuality that a genre like bachata brings.

The Estación de la Sabana, in downtown Bogotá, was the location chosen for the video clip of “Cuándo”; Gusi does his interpretation of the theme, while couples of dancers move through this historic space of neoclassical style, to finally be infected by the joy of rhythm.
