Gadiel Bellido, The White Voice of Arequipa who dedicated a song to our scorer Gianluca Lapadula

A Gadiel Bellido he loves soccer. He considers himself a net striker, like Lapadula. He often plays with his brother in the parks near his home and shouts the goals with undeniable passion. But his biggest hobby is singing, a talent that he has been developing since he was three years old.

Inspired by the voice of his mother and that of his grandfather (just maternal), Gadiel undertook his musical adventure from a very young age. His parents, at first, did not pay much attention to him, but later they would realize that his son was born to delight with his voice. “My little brother was little and I used to sing lyrics, so my parents practically shut me up. They didn’t want me to wake up my brother.”Gadiel says.

Everything became more serious when he was already seven years old. One of his main referents, the great Peter Fernandez, arrived in Arequipa to celebrate his 40 years of artistic career and Gadiel did not hesitate to take an opportunity to get on stage. That day, the inspiration was much bigger than the nerves, and she was able to sing along with one of her idols.

Despite that event, her mother, Karla Díaz, still did not appreciate her talent as she deserved, but that changed on a Mother’s Day holiday at her school, when the director and the psychologist were able to talk with her.

“The psychologist sent for my mother because I sang. It’s not because I stunned my teammates but because it could damage my vocal cords. The moment my mom heard about my health and my vocal cords, she decided to put me in an academy”Gadiel remembers.

This is how the little boy began his professional path at the Luis Duncker Lavalle Regional Music Conservatory. His first teacher, Melisa Flores Mayta, was delighted with his great musical gift, despite the fact that she had never been to an academy before. “The teacher said that I had a natural talent”, bill.

Together with his teacher, Gadiel was able to acquire the first concepts of music in his career and, little by little, he has been able to materialize his great talent in important successes for him.

The dreams of a singing boy

Gadiel Bellido He has already been able to attend two well-known music programs in the country: Yo Soy (2018) and La Voz Kids (2021). He traveled to Lima with the intention of showing that Arequipa has talent in Yo Soy, he imitated Pedrito Fernández in his audition and it went very well. “I passed the first stage, but in the second I couldn’t go because I had another contest”He says.

Later, she continued with her studies and singing until one day she found another great opportunity in La Voz Kids. Her mother saw a post on Facebook, where they were recruiting children to participate in the program. So, she did not hesitate to send a video of her son singing and managed to get her to enter.

At his audition, Gadiel sang ‘La Llorona’, a popular Mexican song, and impressed everyone present. The little one managed to get all the jurors (Eva Ayllon, Cristian Yaipen, Daniela Darcourt and Joe Montana) to turn around and applaud him at the end of his performance. It was a great success for him, although he was subsequently unable to continue on the show. “In the battles I did not have the opportunity to pass, but I did have a great experience”he assures.

The little boy’s dream now runs its course. Today he is known as La Voz Blanca de Arequipa. His cousin, who is a music producer in Lima, gave him that nickname, because he believes, like the teachers, that Gadiel has a white voice. And he is completely happy to be recognized by that pseudonym.

The singer from Arequipa longs to travel to different parts of the world and become internationally recognized. In fact, he is already taking the first steps of it. At only 11 years old, Gadiel already recorded his first musical album, which includes seven special songs, most of them dedicated to his beautiful ‘Ciudad Blanca’. Although he also has other special ‘hits’, like ‘Lapa Lapadula’, the ‘boom’ of the moment.

The song dedicated to the scorer

Gadiel Bellido has experienced the playoffs in the same way as all Peruvians. Undoubtedly, this time he had to suffer, but even the melodies of his song to Lapadula continue to resonate strongly, since the affection towards the player does not end without the World Cup. Quite the contrary. This story of the ‘Bambino’ with our country is just beginning.

For the composition of the song ‘Lapa Lapadula’, the boy from Arequipa, very passionate about soccer, was first inspired by players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to make a soccer song. But then he focused on the current Peruvian team. “There was one who was integrating: Gianluca Lapadula. I paid more attention to him. I felt inspired”remember.

Thus, Gadiel, in aid of his producers, began with the special composition of the song for the Peruvian scorer. “We grabbed a piece of paper and started writing. We did everything else until we got the theme”bill.

The song was published on various platforms and this represented the best ‘hit’ of his career so far. What he did not imagine is that the theme could reach the ears of Lapadula himself, who appreciated Gadiel’s melodies. “It’s very good, I really liked it. I thank you very much and ¡Arriba Perú!”, the ‘Bambino’ told him happily in a video.

“I almost fainted when my mom showed me the video. I really almost fainted, because that was one of my dreams, that a famous soccer player would send me a video. So he did it, he heard my song, they made it reach his ears and that did make me feel very proud ”Gadiel expresses.

The elimination in the playoff against Australia has been very painful for everyone. But this does not discourage Gadiel Bellido in his next goals. The boy from Arequipa plans to continue creating more themes around the Peruvian national team and, in the future, sing them in a stadium, before or during a “Blanquirroja” match, as if it were an anthem.

In addition, Gadiel is a staunch fan of Melgar. Bernardo Cuesta is one of his favorite players. And, for this reason, he also wants to compose a song for ‘El Domino’. Later we will listen to these new songs that La Voz Blanca de Arequipa is already preparing with its producers and that will surely be a success like ‘Lapa Lapadula’.
