Arsenal complained because Estudiantes did not respect fair play and scored a goal | VIDEO

The sixth day of the Argentine Professional League is still in dispute this Monday and the activity began at the Julio Humberto Grondona Stadium in Avellaneda: Arsenal received Estudiantes La Plata. The local team started winning, with a goal from Cristian Colman (4′), but Franco Zapiola equalized before the break (40′), amid discussions.

The meeting was very intense, although the ‘Viaduct’ had established itself as the dominator of the actions. Although coach Leonardo Madelón’s strategy worked perfectly, things changed when Leonel Picco made a little sense.

At the height of the area, on the right wing, the midfielder was sore and lay down on the grass, due to a bad fall that occurred when taking the ball down the sideline, after anticipating Franco Zapiola. Precisely, the aforementioned Estudiantes player took advantage of the fact that he did not have a record, made a great individual maneuver and scored.

After inflating the nets, the ‘Pincha’ scorer went to celebrate with his teammates, since they had a chance of achieving victory. However, the celebration had to be cut short: the Arsenal players were furious that fair play was not respected in that brief span of seconds.

The Estudiantes squad responded to the pressure exerted by their rivals, but referee Nicolás Lamolina was attentive to calm things down. Immediately, Leonel Picco received medical assistance and the VAR began to analyze any possible infraction during the ball dispute.

Despite the protests of Arsenal de Sarandí, the referee validated the score and the story was partially equalized. Finally, the ‘Viaduct’ was left with the victory, curiously with both Picco (58 ‘), and climbed to box 15, with seven points. For its part, the club from La Plata has the same units, although it is in 19th place, due to the worst goal difference.
