Lima Alliance recently signed Panamanian forward Cecilio Waterman, who is already under the orders of technical director Alejandro Restrepo in preseason work.
It is worth mentioning that the attacker has already played at the Alejandro Villanueva de Matute stadium, as he wore the Fénix de Uruguay shirt during the ‘Blanquiazul Night’ of 2015.
Another footballer who is in the 2024 squad also participated in that 1-0 victory for Alianza. He is the Uruguayan nationalized Peruvian Gabriel Costa.
Both played several minutes in that match and now they will be teammates in search of recovering the Betsson League 1 title and having a good Copa Libertadores.
Costa was inconsistent last season and will have his revenge in 2024.
Meanwhile, Waterman will play for the first time in Peru and hopes to make a name for himself in the league. He has played in Uruguay, Mexico, Chile and his native Panama.
